Superfood Pumpkin Porridge
This Halloween enjoy this scarily healthy and delicious brekkie and you’ll thank us later. With the sweet taste of pumpkin pie, and the healthy benefits of Nutriseed Goji Berries, Organic Chia Seeds and Porridge Oats, this will warm you from the inside out on these chilly October mornings.
400g unseasoned organic pumpkin puree (this usually comes in a can, but feel free to make your own here)
450g Nutriseed Porridge Oats
¼ cup Nutriseed Pumpkin Seeds
2 tbsp. Nutriseed Organic Chia Seeds
470ml almond milk
1 tbsp. sultanas (golden or regular)
1 tbsp. Nutriseed Goji Berries
¼ tsp. Nutriseed Himalayan Rock Salt
½ tsp. Nutriseed Cinnamon Powder
¼ tsp. ground cardamom
¼ tsp. ground cloves
Organic honey (to taste)
Begin by combining in to a large saucepan the pumpkin puree, water, almond milk, sultanas, Nutriseed Himalayan Salt, Nutriseed Organic Chia Seeds and the spice mix (Nutriseed Cinnamon Powder, ground cardamom and ground cloves).
Keep this on a high a heat and bring to the boil.
Add in the Nutriseed Porridge Oats, turn the heat down and cook for around 10 minutes, keeping an eye on it and stirring often.
Once cooked, and the oats are the tender texture that you’re after, add in the Nutriseed Pumpkin Seeds and the Nutriseed Goji Berries and stir for 30 seconds.
Serve with a generous dollop of organic honey and enjoy!
