Gluten Free Delicious Morning Waffles Recipe
A nice stack of waffles in the morning is like a big hug - warm, comforting and soothing. This goes double if the waffles happen to be gluten-free and made with nutritious and health-giving ingredients from Nutriseed.
It takes no time at all to prepare delicious waffles that are ever-so-slightly crispy on the outside but chewy and soft on the inside. Step up your waffle-making game by using only the best that Nutriseed has to offer. Here’s a recipe for delicious morning waffles that is easy to follow and guaranteed to give you the most scrumptious results:
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 ½ cup of Nutriseed Organic Brown Rice Flour
- ½ teaspoon Nutriseed Himalayan Rock Salt
- ¼ cup + 1 tablespoon Nutriseed Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
- 1 teaspoon Nutriseed Vanilla Powder
- ¾ cup milk
- 2 large eggs (see notes below for a vegan substitute)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Pinch of Nutriseed Ground Cinnamon (optional)
Directions:
- Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl
- Add the wet ingredients and mix thoroughly until well-combined
- Allow the batter to rest for 10 minutes
- While the batter is resting, preheat the waffle iron with the temperature set to medium high
- After resting, pour a portion of the batter into the waffle iron
- Once the batter is all used up, transfer the waffles to plates
- Garnish with your favourite fruit or spread and enjoy
Notes:
- If you do not wish to use eggs, mix 1 tablespoon of Nutriseed Ground Golden Flaxseed in 3 tablespoons of water until the consistency is gooey. This is good as a substitute for one egg so double the measurements in place of two eggs
- Use Nutriseed’s Ground Almond Meal if you’re not keen on using brown rice flour
