Gingerbread Spiced Festive Smoothie
There’s nothing better to get you in the festive spirit than the familiar smell of gingerbread and holiday spice.
Here’s a fabulously aromatic smoothie you can enjoy all year round, but is particularly nice to share with someone special when the holidays are here - so we’ve doubled up on the ingredients to give you enough for two generous servings.
This gorgeous gingerbread spiced smoothie will bring up memories of Christmas past and we’re betting it may form part of your holiday rituals going forward too. To add an extra flourish, serve with a garnish of chocolate shavings, grated nutmeg, chopping almonds or even all three!
Here is what you’ll need:
- 700ml dairy or non dairy milk
- 1 banana
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 leven tbsp (20g) Nutriseed Total Superfoods
- 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- Chocolate shavings, grated nutmeg and chopped almonds to garnish (optional)
Place all of the ingredients in a blender, starting with the milk, and blitz until smooth.
Divide between two glasses, garnish and serve immediately.
