Deliciously Simple Eggnog Smoothie
The perfect smoothie flavour to get you feeling festive - this simple recipe tastes just like old fashioned, homemade eggnog.
Luxuriant and super-creamy and just the right amount of aromatic spice, this recipe does call for a raw egg yolk, so if pregnant - you should put this on your wish list for after the baby arrives.
You can whip this together in next to no time, but be warned, it's so delicious it could certainly turn out to be a regular holiday treat!
Here is what you’ll need…..
Ingredients:
- 240ml kefir or yogurt
- 2 bananas (the riper the better)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil or coconut cream concentrate
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 level tbsp (10g) Total Superfoods (original or vanilla)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch nutmeg
Method:
Combine ingredients in the order listed in a blender and process until smooth.
Pour into a serving glass and enjoy!
(For extra pizzazz, top off with whipped cream, sprinkle with a little more nutmeg )
